A world of laughter, a world of cheer
In late September, ten Rimland residents, along with four staff members, took a six-day trip to Disneyworld, staying just outside of Orlando. Nine participants had visited Disneyworld previously, with one client making the trip for the first time.
Highlights of the six-day, fun-filled adventure included visits to Disney’s famous Magic Kingdom and Hollywood studios and a trip to the Wild Florida wildlife park, complete with reptiles, birds, and an hour-long swamp tour. While we didn’t see any alligators on the swamp tour, we did see cows! (Cows?) Along the way, we learned that Florida is the #2 producer of beef in the U.S., after Texas. Who knew?
Though we enjoyed the warm weather in sunny Florida, we were able to cool off while dipping in water pools and swooshing down water slides at Orlando’s Wet ‘n Wild water park.
Along with the various theme park attractions, participants also enjoyed trips out to eat and an old-fashioned barbecue at the home where we stayed in Davenport, Florida.
