Happy Birthday, Marty!
On Saturday, November 1st, Rimland was the setting for the 70th birthday celebration for Judge Martin Moltz. Hosted by Marty’s wife of 40 years, Ann Moltz, “Marty’s 70th Birthday Benefit” was graciously conceived by Ann as a benefit for Rimland: instead of purchasing gifts for Marty, guests were invited to donate to Rimland Services. Thanks to the Moltzes and their generous friends and family, the benefit raised more than $5,000 for Rimland’s Developmental Training Program. Marty’s more than 100 well-wishers included Chicago’s 49th Ward Alderman Joe Moore, as well as friends and family hailing from as far away as Colorado, Texas, Florida, and Washington, D.C. Among the festive activities organized by Ann were an international food bar, a raffle and silent auction, and guided tours of Rimland’s headquarters.
The Moltzes have been associated with Rimland as parents for 14 years, and Ann heads Rimland’s art program and volunteers three days a week with the Developmental Training Program. Though the benefit was scheduled in early November to steer clear of the bustle of the holidays, Marty’s actual birthday, November 22, is still a few days away, so there’s still time to send birthday greetings his way.
Happy Birthday, Marty! Thanks to you and Ann for your generosity and faithful friendship.
