We’re not just a leader in lifelong, daily caregiving for people with autism— we’re on the forefront of proactive healthcare.
We pride ourselves in being able to understand our residents’ healthcare needs and take excellent care of them. Several years ago, Rimland leadership made the decision to be more proactive about our residents’ healthcare needs. Due to the overall impact and importance of an all-encompassing healthcare need, we created a stand-alone program, with priorities and standards, to make sure we were doing more than the average reactionary care and basic meeting of needs.
Our staff, including Client Services Leadership, our Health & Wellness Team Members, and a RN, are on-call 24/7 to provide care to our residents. Their roles include not just reacting to emergent situations, but scheduling on-going medical, dental, and psychiatric appointments – including transportation – for each resident’s personal needs.
We partner with a select group of doctors, both private practice and hospital-affiliated, to provide health care to our patients. Our medical partners are not just comfortable working with individuals with autism, they are also fantastic advocates for the population at-large.
We believe it is vital to provide access to preventive care for all of our residents that we have prioritized internal funding; no state funding assists this program. To contribute to the overall health and well-being of our residents, we welcome your gift.
