September Odds and Ends…
- T-Wall 64 Reminder: We would like to send out a reminder to everyone about our GoFundMe page for the T –Wall 64. We received funding from the Niles Township Grant that covers part of the cost but will need donations to make up for the deficit. https://www.gofundme.com/rimlands-tech-fitness-initiative
- Labor Day Party: Clients celebrated Labor Day with our annual picnic. They had hamburgers, fries, cookies, and soda, all while enjoying the sunshine.
- Energy Savings: Rimland recently did an analysis of electricity consumption between a 4-person CILA that has motion sensor lighting and all energy-efficient appliances and one that does not. The average monthly savings were $42.07. The data show Rimland’s commitment not just to creating CILAs that are positive, safe environments for individuals with autism, but that are also environmentally friendly. We have been purchasing energy-efficient appliances for several years now and plan to continue this while reaping the savings as well.
