Three cheers for Rimland parents Karen Muyskens Ryan and Tom Ryan who, along with their friends, recently held a Culver’s fundraiser to support Rimland. Culver’s is a family-favorite, national restaurant franchise known for their made-to-order ButterBurgers, their famous Fresh Frozen Custard, and their genuine Wisconsin Cheese Curds. Culver’s is one of many restaurants and fast-food establishments that partner with non-profits to help raise funds. Karen and Tom took care of all the details, including arranging the event with their local Culver’s and spreading the word to their friends and other Culver’s patrons. On the day of the fundraiser, Culver’s donated to Rimland ten percent of the bills of patrons who mentioned Rimland when they ordered. We would like to thank Karen and Tom for generously organizing this fundraiser and for raising $312.52 on Rimland’s behalf.
Like so many other parents who have disabled adult children, I started to visit various agencies and came across Rimland. Although letting my daughter live somewhere else was maybe the hardest choice in my life, I knew it was the best decision for her. Within the first day she was with Rimland, she adjusted so well. Every time I visit her at her group home, she is smiling and happy. I can never thank Rimland enough for the kind loving care they provide.
