IDOT Consolidated Vehicle Procurement Program

Like so many other parents who have disabled adult children, I started to visit various agencies and came across Rimland. Although letting my daughter live somewhere else was maybe the hardest choice in my life, I knew it was the best decision for her. Within the first day she was with Rimland, she adjusted so well. Every time I visit her at her group home, she is smiling and happy. I can never thank Rimland enough for the kind loving care they provide.

We are happy to announce that Rimland received our third van from the Illinois Department of Transportation’s Consolidated Vehicle Procurement Program. This van is a fourteen-passenger paratransit vehicle with a lift. RimlandNews followers may recall that Rimland was awarded a total of five vehicles from the program, including two mini-van paratransit vehicles with ramps, two light-duty paratransit vehicles with lifts, and one medium-duty paratransit vehicle with lift. This past February, we received the two light-duty paratransit vehicles with lifts. We expect to receive two more vans (two mini-van vehicles with ramps) by the end of the year.
