The Gift of Music

Steve Levitt is the mastermind behind Rimland’s September musical fundraiser Come Together: A Benefit for Rimland. Steve’s son has been a part of the Rimland family since 2012. A versatile musician who teaches guitar and bass at the Old Town School of Folk Music, Steve came up with the idea for the fundraiser and leveraged his deep and longtime connection with the Old Town School to secure the venue on behalf of Rimland. Next, Steve invited his talented friends and associates to perform on stage and recruited others to help behind the scenes with administrative details. All of the talented musicians donated their time, while colleagues Catherine Rolfes and Joanne McMahon assisted Steve in organizing the benefit and, like Steve, also performed with some of the participating bands.

In addition to being one of the most entertaining fundraisers we’ve ever had, Come Together was the first fundraiser in Rimland’s history for which Rimland bore little to no overhead costs.
